High school choir is a musical ensemble where students come together to sing a variety of vocal pieces ranging from classical to contemporary genres. Members develop their vocal skills, learn music theory, and experience teamwork through rehearsals and performances. Choirs often participate in competitions, concerts, and events throughout the school year. 

High school color guard is a mix of dance, performance, and visual arts, where teams use flags, rifles, and sabers to create routines set to music. Rehearsals involve perfecting choreography and teamwork, and there’s a lot of creativity in choosing themes and costumes. Members can perform at sporting events and other shows throughout the year.

All students in Jazz Band will be able to learn and grow as musicians regardless of previous experiences playing jazz music. Throughout the course of the year students will be exposed to a variety of musical styles including, but not limited to Bebop, Big Band, Latin, Blues, and Rock. Students will also be given the opportunity to learn jazz improvisation, as well as techniques for playing jazz in a small group setting.

Learn to march and play a marching band show featuring brass, woodwind, percussion, and color guard.

By participating in orchestra, students can develop a deeper appreciation for music through practice and performance. Members can choose from percussion, wind ensemble, symphony, or strings. Learn how to play classical music and work together to prepare for annual Snider concerts!

Members direct, cast, and rehearse plays and musicals which are performed during evening presentations at Snider High School, and at various Elementary and Middle schools during the day. Auditions are open to all students and may be held during the school day or after school.

Winter color guard is a performance art that combines elements of dance, theater, and flag spinning, typically performed indoors during the winter months. Teams perform choreographed routines set to music, often incorporating props like flags, rifles and sabers.

Competitions take place in gymnasiums and are judged on various criteria, including technique, artistic expression, and overall effect. Many teams also incorporate elaborate costumes and visual effects to enhance their performances.

Learn dances that are performed at the home basketball and football games, as well as compete against other dance teams across the state of Indiana.

Compete against other schools in Valorant, Chess, Tetris, Overwatch, Smash Bros, Fortnite, Rocket League, Minecraft, and League of Legends.

Compete in the Robotics Competition by designing, engineering, and coding a robot!
